§ 33.18 DISCLOSURE OF INTEREST IN LEGISLATIVE ACTION.
   (A)   The Mayor or any member of the Town Council who has an interest in any official act or action before the Council shall publicly disclose on the record of the Council the nature and extent of such interest, and shall withdraw from any consideration of the matter if excused by the Council pursuant to law.
   (B)   In addition to complying with the requirements of division (A) above, in all transactions involving an interest in real property (whether for acquisition, lease or sale) in which the Mayor or any member of the Town Council has an interest therein, he or she shall inform the Town Manager and Town Attorney of such interest. Any real property transaction authorized by the Town Council shall be handled exclusively through the office of the Town Manager who shall garner all of the material facts and disclose such facts on the official record when the matter comes before the Town Council.
