§ 11.01  ESTABLISHING THE EXTRATERRITORIAL BOUNDARIES OF THE TOWN.
   (A)   The Town Council ratifies its action taken on December 3, 1974, and extends its Zoning, Subdivision and Building Code jurisdiction to all of the area within one mile of the present municipal limits and adopts a zoning map for the extraterritorial area which is on file in the office of the Town Clerk. All Building, Fire and Housing Codes and subdivision regulations, land use ordinances and the Zoning Ordinance shall be fully applicable to the extraterritorial area.

   (B)   (1)   The town hereby amends the boundaries of the extraterritorial jurisdiction to include all areas delineated as extraterritorial jurisdiction in accordance with the attached map entitled “Town of Newport, Carteret County, North Carolina, Zoning Jurisdiction Map”, dated April 21, 1998, the original of which is on file in the office of the Town Clerk.
      (2)   A written description delineating the boundary of the extraterritorial jurisdiction as represented on the attached map using the alphabet to identify points and changes in direction of the boundary map:
         Beginning at point (A) being the centerline of Highway 70, near the Carteret, Craven County Line, thence east 760' along the northern property line of Samuel J.
