§ 113.50 MARKINGS FOR TAXICABS.
   Every taxicab operated within the town shall have the name of the owner thereof and the number assigned by the Chief of Police or his or her designee legibly painted on each side of the taxicab and on the rear. The lettering shall be painted upon the cab at the locations prescribed by the Chief of Police or his or her designee and be at least two and one-half inches high and spaced at least one inch apart. If the taxicab is being operated by a lessee, the name of the lessee shall be prominently displayed on or inside such taxicab. The numbering and painting of letters and names as provided in this section shall be considered a condition precedent to the operation of any taxicab within the town, and no such taxicab shall be operated in taxicab service or for hire until the same has been marked, numbered and lettered as required by this section.
