(A) The office shall be under the administrative supervision of the Newport Fire Chief. The Fire Chief will be designated as the Fire Official.
(B) Fire Inspectors shall meet the qualifications of and be certified by the Code Officials Qualification Board, under the North Carolina Department of Insurance.
(C) It is the responsibility of the Fire Inspector to enforce the provisions of this chapter and the provisions of North Carolina Fire Code, including all pertinent references, and any other requirements that the Fire Official may direct.
