(A) Every business entity and every individual subject to the provisions hereof shall be required, if they do not do so already, to take and maintain for inspection by or transmission to the City of Newport Police Department, a digital photograph of each and every item of merchandise bought, sold, bartered, exchanged, acquired, traded and/or consigned hereunder, including the serial number of all items of merchandise having a serial number affixed to that merchandise.
(B) The business entity shall also record the serial number of all items of merchandise having a serial number affixed to the merchandise which shall be maintained for inspection by the City of Newport Police Department upon request.
