(a) The owner, occupant or person having the charge or management of any lot or parcel of land situated within the corporate limits, whether the same be improved or unimproved, vacant or occupied, within five days written notice so to do, served upon him in conformity with Ohio R.C. 731.52, shall cut or destroy or cause to be cut or destroyed any noxious or poisonous weeds, vines, grasses or other types of vegetation growing upon any such lot or parcel of land or upon any street, including the unpaved right of way of any street, adjacent to such lot or parcel of land and prevent the same from blooming or going to seed or exceeding a height of twelve inches.
(b) When a written notice of violation has been issued in accordance with the provisions of this section, such notice shall constitute adequate and effective notice for all enforcement purposes under this chapter with respect to continuing or repeat violations of Section 557.02, for a period of one year following the date such initial notice is given.
