549.12 PROHIBITION OF DEADLY WEAPONS IN PARKS AND VILLAGE BUILDINGS.
   (a)   No person located within the confines of Welker Park or the Village Administration Building or any other building owned by the Village shall knowingly carry or have on or about his or her person or readily at hand, any deadly weapon, irrespective of whether such person has been issued a license to carry a concealed handgun pursuant to Ohio R.C. 2923.125 or 2923.1213 or a license to carry a concealed handgun that was issued by another state with which the Attorney General has entered into a reciprocity agreement under Ohio R.C. 109.69.
   (b)   This section does not apply to officers, agents or employees of this or any other state or the United States, or to law enforcement officers, when authorized to carry or have loaded or accessible firearms in motor vehicles and acting within the scope of their duties.
   (c)   Whoever violates subsection (a) of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
