533.04 PETIT LARCENY.

If a person commits simple larceny of goods or chattels of the value of less than one thousand dollars, such person is guilty of a misdemeanor, designated petit larceny, and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not to exceed two thousand five hundred dollars ($2500.00)
