The Municipal Judge and Auxiliary Municipal Judge shall receive such compensation as fixed by the City Council. No person so appointed shall exercise any power or perform any duty until they qualify by taking the oath of office as such and shall give bond in an amount fixed by Council, under which bond they shall be responsible for all funds coming into their hands by virtue of such appointment.
