135.02  COMPOSITION; QUALIFICATION; TERMS; VACANCIES; COMPENSATION.
   There is hereby created and established a City Planning Commission consisting of 5 to 9 citizens, all of whom shall be taxpayers and residents of the City, who shall be nominated by the Mayor and confirmed by Council.  The members of the Commission first appointed shall serve respectively as follows: Five members shall serve a term of one year, five members shall serve a term of two years and five members shall serve a term of three years.  Thereafter, members of the commission shall be appointed for terms of three years each, upon nomination by the Mayor and confirmation by Council.  Vacancies shall be filled by appointment for the unexpired term only.  Members of the Commission shall serve with compensation.  Beginning in the year 1993, effective October 12, 1993, it is hereby established that the City Planning Commission can consist of from nine to fifteen members, a simple majority creating a quorum, with qualifications as outlined above.  Terms shall be staggered depending on number of members on commission.  Beginning in the year of 2013, effective March 4, 2013, it is hereby established that the City Planning Commission can consist of from five to nine members, a simple majority creating a quorum, with qualifications as outlined above.
