501.13 PRISONER MEDICAL EXPENSES.
   (a)   A person who is in the custody of a Village of New London law enforcement officer or who is sentenced to or confined in a prison, jail or station house, for the violation of a Village ordinance, shall be personally responsible for any medical or dental expenses incurred on his behalf; and, to the fullest extent allowed by law, and in accordance with any applicable State statutes, such person shall reimburse the Village for any such expenses paid by the Village on his behalf.
   (b)   The Village Chief of Police is authorized to cause a claim to be submitted in connection with any prisoner medical or dental expenses which may be covered by a health insurance or similar plan applicable to a prisoner described in paragraph (a) above, in accordance with Ohio R.C. 753.021.
