129.01 CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT RELATING TO CHIEF.
   (a)   The Chief of Police shall comply with the requirements for residency as set forth in Ohio R.C. 737.15.
   (b)   In the event that a Village Police Officer who is not then serving a probationary period is promoted to the rank of Chief, if, at any time during the individual’s probationary period as Chief, his service as Chief is deemed unsatisfactory to render his appointment final, that individual shall be returned to the rank the individual held at the time he was appointed as Chief, without serving a new probationary period in that rank. Nothing in this provision shall be deemed to prevent the filing of normal disciplinary proceedings as would otherwise apply under the provisions of Chapter 737 of the Ohio Revised Code.
