(A) No person shall knowingly or recklessly by hand, or by means of an air rifle, air pistol, compressed gas rifle, compressed gas pistol, sling, slingshot, crossbow, or bow and arrow, discharge or throw any missile, stone, pellet, bolt, arrow, or other substance capable of causing injury or damage to persons or property in or on any street, park, or other public ground, or from or out of any yard, building, or lot into another yard, building, lot or street, or other public or private ground.
(B) Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit or render it unlawful to use bows and arrows, air guns, or compressed gas guns in training programs, tournaments, or competitions, sponsored and supervised by public recreation authorities, or by other groups with recognized competence in the staging of such tournaments, competition, or training programs, provided such events meet all other provisions of law.
(C) Whoever violates division (A) of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on the first offense, and is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree on any subsequent offenses.
