§ 32.42 REIMBURSEMENT FOR OFFICIAL USE OF A PRIVATE MOTOR VEHICLE.
   The use of a privately owned motor vehicle for city business shall entitle the owner thereof to a per mile reimbursement equal in amount to the standard mileage allowance adopted by the United States Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service, for the business use of an automobile during the preceding year; provided, however, that, reimbursement shall only be allowed when use of the privately owned motor vehicle has been authorized in advance by the appropriate head.
