§ 32.33 FUNERAL LEAVE.
   (A)   Paid funeral leave. This policy applies to all full-time city employees. The city recognizes that in the event of a death in the immediate family, much planning and expense is involved and employees need time to complete arrangements.
      (1)   Employees shall be allowed three days off with pay for funerals and necessary arrangements of the affairs of the deceased for the employee’s father, mother, husband, wife, child(ren), grandchild(ren), grandparents, brother or sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in- law, step-father, step-mother, step-child(ren), step- brother and step-sister.
      (2)   In the event of a death of any other relative or close friend, the personal day privilege should be utilized.
   (B)   Unpaid funeral leave. Additional unpaid funeral leave will be at the discretion of the Mayor.
