939.03 ELECTRICITY.
   (a)   Purpose. It is the purpose of this article to require uninterrupted, continuous, adequate, and necessary electrical service for the residential dwellings and commercial establishments within the city limits of the city.
   (b)   Connection to Electrical Service. Where an existing, adequate electrical service connection is available in a public right-of-way or easement abutting the property, connections shall be made thereto. The owner(s) of all houses, buildings or properties used for human occupancy, employment, recreation or other purposes situated within the city jurisdiction and abutting on any street, alley or right-of-way in which there is now located an electrical service connection shall be required to make connection thereto.
   (c)   Generators Unlawful. Except in instances where the electrical service provided by the utility provider is interrupted, it shall be unlawful to utilize a generator to provide electricity to houses, buildings or properties used for human occupancy, employment, recreation or other purposes situated within the city jurisdiction.
   (d)   Violations. Violations of the foregoing article shall be punishable by a fine of not less than $50.00, nor more than $150 per week.
