No officer, agent or employee of the City shall be personally liable for any damages incurred or alleged to have been incurred as a result of any act required, permitted or authorized to be done or performed in the discharge of his duties pursuant to this article, and any suit brought against any officer, agent or employee of the City as a result of any act required, permitted or authorized in the discharge of his duties under this article shall be defended by the City.
