§ 37.13 DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
   (A)   There is hereby created the Department of Community Development for the city.
   (B)   The Department of Community Development shall be a city department, pursuant to § 37.11 of this chapter. The Department shall be led by the Director of Community Development, who serves as the Head Planner, appointed by the City Manager.
   (C)   The Community Development Department shall perform the following duties:
      (1)   Review and make recommendations on all permits;
      (2)   Review and make recommendations on all plats and easements submitted to the city for acceptance;
      (3)   Review and make recommendations to the Planning Commission concerning all rezoning or annexation requests;
      (4)   Assist the Planning Commission and the Board of Adjustment as requested;
      (5)   Oversee grant applications and management;
      (6)   Assist in economic development to enhance community growth and prosperity; and
      (7)   Fulfill the other duties as directed by the City Manager.
