§ 97.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   GARBAGE. Putrescible animal and vegetable waste resulting from the handling, preparation, cooking, and consumption of food.
   PERSON. Cities, villages, townships, counties, and other governmental agencies, corporations, and both municipal and private associations, partnerships, individuals, and authorities.
   REFUSE. Garbage, trash, or any combination thereof.
   TRASH. Nonputrescible solid waste consisting of both combustible and noncombustible waste, such as pallier, cardboard, tin cans, yard clippings, wood, glass, ashes, bedding, crockery, metal and similar materials, but excluding dirt, stones, plaster, concrete, building materials, dangerous materials, such as poisons, acids, caustic or infected materials and animal offal.
