§ 91.29 PROTECTION OF ADJACENT PROPERTY.
   Trenches or excavations made in stuffing or water-bearing soils and trenches and excavations 5 feet or more in depth made in the immediate vicinity of the foundations of buildings or other foundations shall be sheeted and braced. The person, firm, corporation, or utility making the excavation shall be responsible for designing and installing a system of sheeting and bracing and any damages or injuries which may result from the improper design or construction of the sheeting and bracing system.
