339.14 WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS ON ROADWAYS.
   (a)   The operation of any vehicle, motor vehicle, commercial tractor, trailer or semitrailer, as defined in Ohio R.C. 4501.01 on any roadway within the Village corporate limits is strictly prohibited under any of the following restrictions:
      (1)   If in excess of the size, weight or load limits specified in Ohio R.C. 5577.01 through 5577.09;
      (2)   Not in conformity with Ohio R.C. 4513.01 through 4513.37;
      (3)   In excess of eighty thousand (80,000) pounds, or, in excess of the vehicle’s weight code sticker.
   (b)   Whosoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the second degree as set forth in Ohio R.C. 2929.21.
   (c)   The following schedule of fines shall be imposed for violations of this section:
 
(1)   Overload not greater than 3,000 pounds
$80.00
(2)   Overload in excess of 3,000 pounds but
   less than 5,000 pounds
100.00 plus
   1.00 per 100 pounds
   of overload (rounded to
   nearest dollar.)
   Fine shall not exceed
   150.00.
(3)   Overload in excess of 5,000 pounds but
   not in excess of 10,000 pounds
130.00 + $2.00
   per 100 pounds of
   overload (rounded to
   the nearest dollar.)
   Fine shall not exceed
   $330.00
(4)   Overloads in excess of 10,000 pounds
Non-waiverable
   $160.00 +
   3.00 per 100 pounds
   of overload (rounded to
   the nearest dollar).
Bond held for court
   appearance.
   The foregoing fines may be paid to the Village in lieu of a Court appearance, in the Village’s discretion and subject to the Village’s customary policies and procedures in connection with any such waiver.
