The imposition of any penalty for violation of this Part Thirteen - Building Code or the adopted Housing Maintenance Code or Ohio Building Code shall not preclude the Solicitor from instituting an appropriate action or proceeding in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent an unlawful repair or maintenance; to restrain, correct or abate a violation; to prevent the occupancy of a building, structure or premises; or to require compliance with the provisions of this Part Thirteen - Building Code, or the adopted Housing Maintenance Code or Ohio Building Code, or other applicable laws, ordinances, rules or regulations, or orders or determinations of the Building Commissioner, Planning Commission, Mayor or Board of Zoning Appeals.
