(a) Any truck with respect to which any truck route within the Village is utilized shall be required to have a Special Hauling Permit. The terms "truck" and "truck route" as used herein shall have the same meanings as set forth in Section 339.13.

(b) Special Hauling Permits shall be issued in accordance with the following Special Hauling Permit Fee Schedule:

(c) A surcharge of twenty-five percent (25%) will be added to the final permit fee for all permitted loads (except Steel Coils (3 or fewer coils)) deemed to be “Divisible Loads” or having an Ohio Department of Transportation permit for same vehicle/load that is considered to be a “Divisible Load”.
(d) Blanket Permits shall be for loads that are “All Weights Legal” only.
(e) The term “Construction Equipment” shall have the same definition as set forth in the Ohio Department of Transportation Special Hauling Permits Operational Guide.
(f) “*Non-Conforming” shall mean vehicles/loads that are “All Weights Legal” but do not fit the definition of Construction Equipment as that term is defined in the Ohio Department of Transportation Special Hauling Permits Operational Guide. Examples include, but are not limited to, boats, farm equipment and manufactured buildings/building components.
(g) Permits may be issued for multiple vehicles for the same company if the requested routes are identical. Each such vehicle must be identified (by license plate number for power unit or make and company unit number) on the permit and the vehicle/load description must match the same vehicle/load description as listed on an Ohio Department of Transportation permit authorizing movement of the same vehicle/load. Permit fees for these permits will be determined on a case by case basis. (Ord. 2016-55. Passed 10-18-16.)
(h) (1) All permit requests or applications hereunder must be made at least two (2) business days prior to the starting date for such permit. For purposes of this Section 339(h), the term "business days" shall exclude Saturdays, Sundays or any federal holiday or Village holiday. Any request or application for a permit hereunder made less than two (2) days prior to the starting date shall be considered to be made on an expedited basis. Any permit issued on an expedited basis hereunder shall include an additional fee for expedited service equal to twenty-five percent (25%) of the total permit fee.
(2) Additional permit fees may be levied by the Village in its sole discretion if additional fees are incurred by the Village or necessary, including, but not necessarily limited to, inspection fees, escort fees and maintenance bond costs and fees. (Ord. 2017-34. Passed 10-3-17.)
(i) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
