(a) No person shall blow or cause to be blown outdoors within the Village the steam whistle or its equivalent of any stationary plant as a signal for commencing or suspending work or for any other purpose.
(b) This section shall not be construed as prohibiting the use of steam whistles, or their equivalent, as alarm signals in case of fire, collision or other imminent danger.
