1353.02 DEFINITIONS.
   (a)   As used in this chapter, "Rental Dwelling" means any Dwelling Unit, Dwelling, Multiple Dwelling, Two-Family Dwelling, Apartment or Double House, or any other residential unit where any of the following conditions are met:
      (1)   Consideration in the form of money, rent or other valuable consideration is being paid or given for occupancy therein;
      (2)   A person other than the owner (whether an owner in fee simple, as tenant-in-common or joint tenant), is occupying any Dwelling, Dwelling Unit, Multiple Dwelling, Two-Family Dwelling, Apartment or Double House, whether or not the person is paying consideration; or
   (b)   For purposes of this chapter, the term "Dwelling Unit" shall have the meaning set forth in Codified Ordinance Section 1103.01(17).
   (c)   For purposes of this chapter, the term "Dwelling" shall have the meaning set forth in Codified Ordinance Section 1103.02(17).
   (d)   For purposes of this chapter, the term "Multiple Dwelling" shall mean a building or portion thereof designed for occupancy by three (3) or more families living independently of each other.
   (e)   For purposes of this chapter, the term "Two-Family Dwelling" shall mean a detached dwelling arranged, intended or designed to be occupied by two (2) families only, one (1) of which has its principal living rooms on the first floor and the other of which has its principal living rooms on the second floor.
   (f)   For purposes of this chapter, the term "Double House" shall mean a detached dwelling arranged, intended or designed to be occupied by two families only, living side by side with a party wall between.
   (g)   For purposes of this chapter, the term "Apartment" shall mean any room or suite of rooms forming or functioning as a residence.
