139.12 TRAINING EXPENSES.
   (a)   The Village will pay for fire training tuition and any other approved training expenses for members of the Newburgh Heights Fire Department.
   (b)   Any firefighter who leaves the Village Fire Department or is terminated pursuant to the laws of the State of Ohio and the laws and regulations of the Village within five years of the completion of the date of the training or any firefighter who fails to actively participate as a member of the Fire Department pursuant to guidelines established by the Fire Chief and said firefighter is so notified in writing within five years of the completion date of the training, shall be obligated to reimburse the Village for all monies expended for training pursuant to the “Firefighter Training Agreement” attached to original Ordinance 2000-28 as Exhibit A and incorporated herein.
   (c)   The Fire Chief is hereby directed to have all fire personnel execute a Firefighter Training Agreement. No training expenses will be paid by the Village on behalf of any firefighter who has failed to fully execute an Agreement.
   (d)   The Village shall take whatever legal action necessary to enforce the provisions of the Firefighter Training Agreement if a firefighter is no longer employed by the Village pursuant to the terms set forth in the Agreement and/or subsection (b) hereof.
