(a) The Village Division of Fire will provide emergency medical service and accept as full payment an assignment of insurance company policy proceeds available to the user, whether a resident or nonresident, and will accept as full payment the usual and customary rate as allowed by the particular insurance company for the services provided. The Village will not charge, demand or collect any amount of money in excess of the insurance payment received.
(b) The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contractual agreement, after review by the Solicitor, with any business enterprise capable of providing and operating an electronic claims filing system for the purpose of collecting insurance company policy proceeds.
(c) The revenues generated by the charges for emergency medical services shall be deposited into the Fire Fund. All interest earned on the monies to the credit of such funds shall inure to the same fund.
(d) The Mayor, may waive the entire charges for emergency medical services, or any portion thereof, where there is a written finding that the person receiving the services is indigent or otherwise unable to pay for such services, and there is no other source for the payment thereof.
