(A) There is hereby created the Town Department of Economic Development pursuant to the provisions of I.C. 36-7-12-1 et seq.
(B) The Department shall be controlled by the Town Economic Development Commission pursuant to the provisions of I.C. 36-7-12-1 et seq.
(C) There shall be three Commissioners of the Town Economic Development Commission, to be appointed by the Town Executive. One of the members shall be selected by the Town Executive, one nominated by the town fiscal body and one nominated by the County Council, all as required by I.C. 36-7-12-6.
(D) The term of office for each Commissioner shall run from February 1 after the appointment as follows:
(1) The appointee selected by the Town Executive shall serve a three-year term;
(2) The appointee nominated by the town fiscal body shall serve a two-year term; and
(3) The appointee nominated by the County Council shall serve a one-year term, all as prescribed by I.C. 36-7-12-6.
(E) The Commission shall have all rights and powers conferred upon it by I.C. 36-7-12-1 et seq.
