(A) Qualifications. The members shall have the following qualifications:
(1) All members shall be residents of the town;
(2) Two of the members shall be members of the Plan Commission; and
(3) None of the members shall hold other elective or appointive office in the town government.
(B) Salary. The members shall serve without salary.
(C) Terms of office.
(1) Upon the creation of a Board of Zoning Appeals, the members shall be appointed for the following terms:
(a) One for a term of one year;
(b) One for a term of two years;
(c) One for a term of three years; and
(d) Two for a term of four years.
(2) The terms shall expire on January 1 of the first, second, third or fourth year, respectively, following their appointment.
(3) Thereafter, as their terms expire, each new appointment shall be for a term of four years.
(D) Vacancy. If a vacancy occurs, by resignation or otherwise, the President of the Town Council shall appoint a member for the unexpired term.
