§ 31.20 DOCKETING OF DOCUMENTS.
   (A)   To be considered at any Town Council meeting, without the necessity of suspending the rules, any ordinance, resolution, contract or other writing requiring legislative action shall be filed in the office of the Clerk-Treasurer not later than the close of business on the fifth day prior to the Town Council meeting at which it is to be considered.
   (B)   The Clerk-Treasurer shall stamp each such document requiring Town Council action with a legible date stamp reflecting the date such document was docketed in that office; shall assign a docket number to said document; and, shall cause the document to be placed on the agenda of the Town Council meeting for the Town Council’s consideration. A written statement in support or explanation of such docketed item may be presented and should be filed simultaneously. Such additional writing shall bear the same docket number as the document to which it relates.
   (C)   All documents tendered to the Clerk-Treasurer for docketing shall be tendered with an original and nine copies. Upon receipt and docketing of the same, the Clerk-Treasurer shall retain the original in the record; shall cause one copy of each such docketed matter to be distributed to each Council member, the Administrative Manager and the Town Attorney within two working days; and, post one copy on the public bulletin board at the entrance to Town Hall.
