§ 36.004 ELECTED OFFICIALS AND HEALTH INSURANCE.
   (A)   All elected officials of the town shall be eligible to participate in any of the town’s health insurance programs for which such official will otherwise qualify.
   (B)   Any elected official choosing to participate in any health insurance program provided by the town, for which such official is eligible, shall be eligible for the same type of benefit, and entitled to the same contribution by the town toward the cost of such program, as any employee of the town would be entitled to.
   (C)   In the event that the health insurance program in which an elected official is entitled to participate is a program providing supplemental insurance, or is a program designed specifically for elected officials, such official shall be entitled to the same contribution toward the cost of such supplemental or other special insurance, as such official would be entitled to receive if such official were eligible to participate in the regular health insurance program of the town.
