§ 51.17 MISCELLANEOUS CHARGES.
(applicable to all customers)
   (A)   Reconnection Charge. When a customer has previously requested a disconnect and desires to be reconnected at the same address, or if a reconnection is made subsequent to a service disconnection made in violation of provisions of this chapter, a reconnection charge of $25 dollars will be made if the reconnection is made during regular business hours. If the reconnection is requested and made after regular business hours, the charge is $50 dollars.
    (B) Late Payment Charge. If a bill payment is not received by the Utility office or by the Utility's authorized agent on or before the specified payment date (the 10th of the month), a one-time, additional amount of 10% of the amount of the bill will become due and payable as part of the customer’s total obligation.
   (C)   Dishonored Check Charge. Whenever a customer pays a bill by check and the check is returned to the Utility by the customer’s financial institution for lack of sufficient funds in the customer’s account, the customer will be assessed a dishonored check charge of $25 for each check returned.
   (D)   Meter Test Charge. The Utility shall test the meter at the request of the customer. Such test shall be performed in the presence of the customer if he so requests. If the meter is found to be correct, as defined in §51.41, the customer shall pay a fee of $35 for the testing.
   (E)   Any new meter connection to the village electric system will incur a capital charge of $100 payable in advance, and is non-refundable.
   (F)   E-meter Charge. Customers who request an E-meter will be required to pay a $65 monthly fixed rate charge. The E-meter has a phone jack that allows the customer to access data on the E-meter.
