ADOPTING ORDINANCES

ORDINANCE 1996-2-7

AN ORDINANCE ENACTING AND ADOPTING A SUPPLEMENT TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF NEW BREMEN, OHIO; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio, has completed the 1996 S-1 Supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the Village of New Bremen, which supplement contains all ordinance of a general nature enacted since the prior supplement to the Code of Ordinances of this municipality; and

WHEREAS, said American Legal Publishing Corporation has recommended the revision or addition of certain sections of the Code of Ordinances which are based on or make references to sections of the Ohio Revised Code; and

WHEREAS, it is the intent of Council to accept these updated sections in accordance with the changes of the law of the State of Ohio.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of New Bremen, County of Auglaize and State of Ohio:

SECTION 1: That the 1996 S-1 Supplement to the Code of Ordinances of the Village of New Bremen, Ohio, as submitted by American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati be and the same is hereby adopted by reference as if set out in its entirety.

SECTION 2: This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety of citizens of New Bremen, Ohio, because provisions to the traffic code and general offenses code which coincide with recent changes in the Ohio Revised Code must be adopted immediately to insure accurate enforcement of existing laws; and said ordinance shall, therefore, take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage of this Council.
