(A) The Commission shall consist of eight members, all of whom shall be residents of the village or of German Township. The Mayor and/or his representatives shall serve as ad hoc members.
(B) All members of the Commission shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to the approval of the Village Council.
(C) Appointments to the Commission shall be for three-year terms, with terms being staggered so that not less than two member terms will expire on December 31 of each year. Therefore, the initial term of one additional member established by Ordinance 2007-1-7 shall expire December 31, 2008, with succeeding terms of said additional member being three years. The initial term of the other additional member established by Ordinance 2007-1-7 shall expire December 31, 2009, with succeeding terms of said additional member being three years. In the event that a vacancy shall occur during the term of any member, his or her successor shall be appointed for the unexpired portion of said term.
(D) The Chairman shall preside over all meetings of the Commission and act as parliamentarian. The Vice-Chairman shall assume the duties of the Chairman in his or her absence.
