County Code Enforcement Officers appointed pursuant to the provisions of §§ 32.30 et seq. will be vested with all the powers and duties conferred by law upon constables in addition to the duties imposed upon them by the governing body of the county. However, no Code Enforcement Officer commissioned under this section may perform a custodial arrest except as provided in S. C. Code § 4-9-145(B). In addition such officers shall have the power to summon any person to appear before the Magistrate having jurisdiction for any violation of county ordinances.
