The Treasurer of Floyd County, Indiana, while serving as ex-officio treasurer of the city, shall execute a bond to the approval of the Mayor payable to the city in the penal sum of $250,000, conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of his or her office and for the payment to the proper person of the monies received by the officer, with good and sufficient surety or sureties thereon. The bond shall be filed in the City Controller's office.
