The said Justice shall be paid such annual salary for the term for which he or she is elected as may be determined by the Council, by resolution adopted not later than thirty (30) days prior to any election at which a Justice of the Peace is to be elected, and in the event that no such resolution is adopted, then such Justice shall receive such salary for the term for which he or she is elected as was paid during the preceding term. Such salary, as herein provided for, shall be in full compensation for all services performed by said Justice in the discharge of his or her duties, and he or she shall make no charge to any person for any services required of him or her by this Charter or by any statute of the State of Michigan.
