No person shall consume alcoholic beverages or possess open containers of alcoholic beverages on or in any public place, provided that this section shall not be construed to prohibit the consumption of alcoholic beverages or the possession of open containers of alcoholic beverages within those public places licensed by the state’s Liquor Control Commission to allow the consumption of alcoholic beverages on premises.
