The City Clerk shall give such public notices of the times and places at which elections are to be held, of the offices to be filled and of the proposals submitted to the electorate, as are required of him or her in State elections. The City Clerk shall, at least sixty (60) days prior to any election, give notice, by posting in every election precinct and by publication at least once in a newspaper published or having general circulation in the City of Negaunee, of the offices to be filled, of the final date for filing nominating petitions and of the minimum and maximum number of signatures required and permitted on any nominating petition.
