Pursuant to State law 1 , the City of Nauvoo hereby adopts the procedures set forth in this chapter for the release of properly impounded vehicles and for the imposition of a reasonable administrative fee related to the administrative and processing costs associated with its investigation, arrest, and detention of an offender or its removal, impoundment, storage, and release of the vehicle. That administrative fee may be in addition to any fees charged for the towing and storage of an impounded vehicle. However, the administrative fee will be waived upon verifiable proof that the vehicle was stolen at the time the vehicle was impounded. (Ord. 2014-8, 3-10-2015)
