9-7-7: AUTHORIZED REMOVAL:
   A.   When an abandoned, unattended, wrecked, burned, or partially dismantled motor vehicle or some other type of vehicle is creating a traffic hazard because of its position in relation to the roadway, or because its physical appearance is impeding of traffic, the City's Chief of Police may order its immediate removal from the roadway by a towing service.
   B.   When a motor vehicle or some other vehicle is removed from either public or private property as authorized by order of the Chief of Police, the owner of the vehicle is responsible for, and shall pay, all towing and storage costs. (Ord. 2013-8, 2-11-2014)
