A. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to park any motor vehicle within the areas indicated below:
1. Durphy Street, from the south city limit northerly to the intersection with Mulholland Street, except for the following, where parallel parking is allowed:
On the west side of Durphy Street from 4.57 meters (15 feet) south of the south edge of pavement of Hotchkiss Street at the intersection of Hotchkiss Street and Durphy Street southerly 33.22 meters (109 feet) and from 4.57 meters (15 feet) south of the south edge of pavement of White Street at the intersection of White Street and Durphy Street southerly 24.38 meters (80 feet).
2. Mulholland Street, from the westernmost boundary at Main Street, easterly to the east city limit, except for the following where parallel parking is allowed:
On the north side of Mulholland Street from the intersection with Wells Street easterly to the intersection with Barnett Street and from 7.62 meters (25 feet) east of the east edge of pavement of Barnett Street easterly 57.91 meters (190 feet); and
On the south side of Mulholland Street from 54.9 meters (180 feet) west of the west edge of pavement of Bluff Street easterly to 7.62 meters (25 feet) west of the west edge of pavement of Bluff Street and from the intersection of Bluff Street easterly to the intersection with Barnett Street and from 7.62 meters (25 feet) east of the east edge of Barnett Street easterly 36.58 meters (120 feet).
3. Mulholland Street, from Durphy Street to Main Street (in order to accommodate truck and bus traffic).
4. Bluff Street, from the north side of the intersection at Knight Street to the south side of the intersection at Young Street - no parking on the east side of the street only.
5. Bluff Street, from Mulholland Street to Ripley Street.
6. Parley Street, from the west side adjoining Water Street to Hwy 96 (in order to accommodate bus routes).
7. White Street, from Main Street to Durphy Street (in order to accommodate truck and bus traffic).
8. Hotchkiss Street, from Main Street to Durphy Street (in order to accommodate truck and bus traffic).
9. Hubbard Street, from Durphy Street to Wells Street (in order to accommodate truck and bus traffic).
10. Knight Street, between Fulmer Street and Gordon Street (in order to accommodate truck and bus traffic).
11. Knight Street, from Bluff Street to Wells Street - no parking on the north side of the street except during church times and during funerals; no parking at any time on the south side of the street.
12. Main Street, from White Street to Broadway Street (in order to accommodate truck and bus traffic).
13. Warsaw Street, from Mulholland to Knight Street - no parking on the east side of the street only.
14. Iowa Street, from 160 feet north of Mulholland Street to Knight Street - no parking on the east side of the street only.
15. Wells Street, from Cutler Street to Hubbard Street.
16. Wells Street, from Knight Street to Young Street - no parking on both sides of the street except during church times and during funerals. Parking is allowed in front of the church only where posted.
17. Wells Street, from Mulholland Street to Knight Street - no parking on the east side except for the ten (10) minute loading/unloading zone located in front of the Nauvoo Temple.
18. Fulmer Street, from Mulholland Street to Ripley Street.
19. At any other location, pursuant to the authority of the Mayor or Nauvoo Police Department, where parking may be temporarily or permanently restricted (or allowed) due to an emergency, natural disaster, special event, or some other special circumstance.
B. Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this section shall be fined not less than thirty five dollars ($35.00) nor more than fifty dollars ($50.00) for each offense. (Ord., 11-13-1996; Ord. 2019-2, 7-9-2019)
