Upon approval of the application for demolition permit by the Nauvoo city council, the applicant shall pay the permit fee as set forth in the application and then the applicant has thirty (30) days to begin demolition. The demolition permit will expire thirty (30) days from the date of approval. If demolition work is suspended or abandoned for a period of thirty (30) days at any time after work is commenced, the permit becomes null and void and a new demolition permit must be reapplied for the project.
