No person, firm or corporation shall conduct, maintain, operate, manage, carry on or engage in the business of carrying, hauling, or transporting passengers within the city limits of the city of Nauvoo for hire without first having secured a license therefor. Applications for such licenses shall be made in writing to the city collector on a form supplied by the city collector and approved by the mayor and city council. (Ord. 1992-8, 6-8-1993)
