4-3-5: LICENSE CLASSIFICATIONS; FEES:
Class A license shall authorize the retail sale on the premises specified in the license, of alcoholic liquor for consumption on the premises, as well as other retail sales of such liquor. The annual fee shall be eight hundred dollars ($800.00).
Class B license shall authorize the retail sale of alcoholic liquors for consumption on the premises where sold in a restaurant or hotel and then only when served with meals. The annual fee for such license shall be eight hundred dollars ($800.00).
Class C license shall authorize the retail sales of beer and Nauvoo wine, by bottle, can or package not to be consumed on the premises. The annual fee for such license shall be five hundred dollars ($500.00). (Ord. 1974-8, 11-4-1974)
Class D license shall authorize a winery manufacturer's retail liquor license which gives the right to retail sales of wine, by bottle, can or package, not to be consumed on the premises. The annual fee for such license shall be two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00). Winery manufacturer may obtain a special event license for serving wine by the glass on the premises for a fee of twenty five dollars ($25.00) per special event. The special event shall not be more than three (3) days in length and must be at least four (4) days apart. (Ord. 1993-4, 11-9-1993)
Class E license shall be a special use permit license and shall authorize the license retailer to sell or serve alcoholic beverages for consumption at special events off the site of the license retailer as part of a festival, fair, picnic, or other special or theme event. This license shall allow a license retailer to transfer a portion of its alcoholic liquor inventory from its retailed licensed premises to the premises specified in the special use permit license and to sell or offer for sale at retail only in the premises specified in the license hereby created, the transferred alcoholic liquor for use or consumption but not for resale. The licensed retailer shall provide dramshop liability insurance in the maximum limits and have local authority approval. The special use permit license may be granted for a duration of one to fifteen (15) days with a maximum of fifteen (15) days per location in any twelve (12) month period. The fee for such license shall be twenty five dollars ($25.00).
Class F license shall be a special event retailer's license (not for profit) and shall permit the licensee to purchase alcoholic liquors from an Illinois licensed distributor and shall allow the licensee to sell and offer for sale, at retail, alcoholic liquors for use or consumption but not for resale in any form and only at the location and on the specific dates designated for the special event in the license. This license will apply to fraternal, educational, political, civic, religious and not for profit organizations that maintain the responsibility for serving and selling alcoholic beverages at special events. The licensee shall provide dramshop liability insurance in the maximum limits and have local authority approval. The license may not exceed fifteen (15) days in any twelve (12) month period. The fee for such license shall be five dollars ($5.00). (Ord. 1996-2, 6-11-1996)
All the fees so paid to the city clerk as such local licenses fee collector shall be immediately turned over by him to the city treasurer. (Ord. 1977-3, 4-4-1977; amd. 1989 Code)
