§ 50.007 APPLICATION; CONNECTION FEES.
   (A)   (1)   Any prospective customer requesting water service or an existing customer requesting additional or changed water service shall complete and file with the City Clerk an application for water service.
      (2)   Said applications will be in a form approved by the City Council, copies of which may be obtained from the office of the City Clerk.
   (B)   The fee accompanying the application shall be as follows:
      (1)   New connection to an existing three- fourths of an inch service line and meter: $450;
      (2)   New connection of one-inch service line and meter: $850; and
      (3)   Reconnection of existing water service at request of user: $15.
   (C)   When a permit has been issued for a water connection, the city will install the service connection from the main to a point five feet outside the property line, such service connection to consist of corporation cock, pipe, and meter; provided, however, that where the service connection exceeds 40 feet in length and/or applicant requires a service line larger than one inch, then the customer shall pay $500, plus the total cost of materials and any outside labor required.
   (D)   (1)   If the prospective customer is a tenant of the premises to be served, the property owner, or his or her legal representative or designated agent must countersign the application before the application will be granted.
      (2)   The services of the water system shall be deemed to be furnished to both the occupant and the owner of the premises receiving such services and shall be deemed an obligation of both the occupant and the owner of such premises.
