§ 152.130 CREATION; COMPOSITION; TERM; VACANCY.
   (A)   The Zoning Board of Appeals of the city is created pursuant to 65 ILCS 5, Div. 13, Art. 11, Ch. 24, as amended. The Board shall consist of seven members appointed by the Mayor by and with the consent of the City Council.
   (B)   The members of the first Board shall serve respectively for the following terms (or until their respective successors are appointed and qualified): one for one year, one for two years, one for three years, one for four years, one for five years, one for six years, and one for seven years, and the successor to each original members so appointed to serve for a term of seven years.
   (C)   (1)   One of the members of the Board shall be designated by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council as Chairperson of the Board, and shall hold office as Chairperson until his or her successor is appointed.
      (2)   Vacancies upon the Board shall be filled for the unexpired term of the member whose place has become vacant in the manner provided in this section for the appointment of such member.
   (D)   The City Council has the power to remove any member of the Board for cause and after public hearing.
