(A) Office created. There is created the Office of Superintendent of Streets.

(B) Appointed by Mayor. The Superintendent of Streets shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council.

(C) Term. The term of Office of the Superintendent of Streets shall be four years and shall run concurrently with the term of the Mayor.

(D) Duties. The Superintendent of Streets shall be in charge of the repair and maintenance of all of the city streets and alleys, and he or she shall be in charge of the maintenance and operation of the city’s garbage and trash collection and the city’s landfill site.
