(A) This subchapter shall be known as the “National Electrical Code” and may be so cited, and the National Electric Code will be referred to in this subchapter as “this code”.
(B) The administration and enforcement of this subchapter shall be the duty of the Mayor of the city, who is authorized to take such action as may be reasonably necessary to enforce the purpose of this code.
(C) Appointments of assistants may be made by the Mayor and shall be made with the advice and consent of the City Council, in the same manner in which other appointments of city officers and employees are now made.
