It is unlawful for any person or persons to fire, shoot, or discharge any pistol, shotgun, rifle, or other firearm, firecracker, torpedo, slingshot, or any contrivance of the kind, upon, into, or across any street, alley, or public place, or upon, into, or across any premises owned or occupied by another, except by a written permit of the Mayor, or his or her public proclamation, proclaiming this chapter suspended upon a certain occasion or national holiday.
